Digital Detox: What did I learn?

I just finished a ‘digital detox’. For 30 days, I avoided all digital technology unless it was absolutely necessary – and even then only under strict usage rules. It went really well! Life is better this way, and I have made some permanent changes. Here are some things I learned:

• Most things we consider to be ‘urgent’ are not – they just need writing down.

• Relationships are built on real, physical contact.

• I don’t know how to have fun anymore. I’ve been rediscovering though, and its great!

• I don’t need very much in order to be happy – a little is enough.

• Focus requires sacrifice, but its worth it.

• Convenient is boring.

Would you consider a digital detox? If so, I encourage you! If not – why? I would be curious to know.
